Prof. Klaus Buchner, Member of the European Parliament, worked at the Max Planck Institute for Physics and Astrophysics in Munich, where he received his doctorate in physics, and at the European Research Centre CERN in Geneva. He spent several years abroad and did research at the University of Kyoto (Japan) and at the University of Chandigarh (India). From 1973 until his retirement in 2006 he was a lecturer and professor at the mathematical faculty of the TU Munich. He has been a member of the Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti in Messina since 1979 and was awarded the Gold Medal of Merit of the University of Wroclaw in 1992. He joined the Ecological Democratic Party (ÖDP) in 1983. As its federal chairman from 2003 to 2010, one of his main concerns was the networking of the ÖDP with local citizens' initiatives. He currently gives lectures on 5G almost weekly.

NTP Turns to Mechanisms: DNA Breaks, Oxidative Stress and Gene Expression Are on the Agenda

NTP Turns to Mechanisms

DNA Breaks, Oxidative Stress and
Gene Expression Are on the Agenda

microwavenews.com, 17 September 2019

The U.S. National Toxicology Program (NTP) will soon embark on a new phase of its long-running RF project. Last year, the NTP concluded that RF radiation causes cancer; now it will begin a systematic search for mechanisms to explain how and why the tumors developed. Work is expected to begin by the end of the year.

The research plan is wide-ranging. It includes studies on gene expression, oxidative stress and DNA damage and repair, as well as the possible role played by heat. Other priorities on the NTP agenda are studies on behavior and stress.

We’re “optimistic” that we can detect changes in gene expression and identify biomarkers of RF effects, NTP’s Michael Wyde told Microwave News. Wyde is leading the new project. He will continue to work with John Bucher, the former NTP associate director, who ran its $30 million animal study, which showed “clear evidence” that RF radiation can lead to malignant tumors in male rats.

Is cell phone radiation actually dangerous? We asked some experts
by Simon Hill, digitaltrends.com, 25 September 2019

Four years on – September 2019 update

Jolygon/Getty Images
A lot has changed in the last four years, but the argument over the potential for cell phone radiation to cause harm to humans continues. The National Toxicology Program released its final reports in November 2018, from a series of studies that cost $30 million and took more than 10 years to complete. It concluded that “there is clear evidence that male rats exposed to high levels of radiofrequency radiation (RFR) like that used in 2G and 3G cell phones developed cancerous heart tumors.”

There was also some evidence of DNA damage and glioma. Unfortunately, precisely what that means for humans is not clear.

New Study Finds Infant And Toddler Brains Absorb More Microwave Radiation From Wireless Phones

Hello!  Is anyone listening?  This study dates from 2017.

“If we consider this study in light of the test results just released from the French government that found the majority of cell phones exceed regulatory limits for cell phone radiation when tested against the body, then we can expect that the radiation levels in children’s brains far exceed regulatory limits when parents hold the phone directly up to the toddler’s head. Urgent action is needed,” stated Dr. Devra Davis, President and founder of the Environmental Health Trust.

IT Experts Reveal That Infant And Toddler Brains Absorb More Microwave Radiation From Wireless Phones
First Study To Evaluate Cell Phone Radiation Exposures With Realistic Head Models

In a newly published paper in IEEE Access, cell phone modeling experts reveal that toddlers receive far greater microwave radiation from cell phones than previous research models assumed. The maximum SAR values, a measure of cellphone radiation, in young children’s head tissues were up to 78% higher than SAR values measured in the adult model. The IT researchers call for lower cell phone radiation regulatory limits to account for young children’s exposures, echoing recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics to the US government to update cell phone regulations to protect children.

Researchers from the University of Queensland Australia School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering compared cell phone microwave radiation exposures of adults to infants and toddlers who are three months to three years old. The experts evaluated various scenarios where parents might hold a phone up to a child’s head and computed the cell phone radiation exposures into the child’s skin and brain tissues. Confirming earlier studies by experts at the University of Porto Alegre and Environmental Health Trust (EHT), they found that cell phone radiation reaches further into younger children’s brains than previously estimated.

The Real Dangers of 5G

The real dangers of 5G - Godfrey Farrugia
by Godfrey Farrugia, Opinion, timesofmalta.com, 31 August 2019

5G holds an agenda for total control. It is stated that when it is introduced in 2020, it can be used for “anything, anywhere, anytime in an unlimited manner”. I am all for digital progress but not at the expense of having an adverse impact on human and environmental health.

It is not my intention to go into the merits that 5G violates human rights and informed consent. My interest, as a family doctor and a representative of the people, is society’s well-being.

We live in a society whose quality of life and health is being drastically affected by air, water and land pollutants, which are man induced.

One such pollutant, which we do take for granted, is the accumulation of artificial electromagnetic fields that at times reach the thresholds of an electrosmog. It is an established fact that electromagnetic radiation (EMR) has increased by tenfold on the top of the background, natural EMR.

"Tablets, PCs and Mobile Phones Change Our Brains" : Interview with Professor Dominique Belpomme

"So tablets, PCs and mobile phones change our brains":
The French oncologist's warning about electromagnetic waves: "They lower children's IQ and also harm adults".
by Margherita Enrico, ilgiornale.it, 17 August 2019 (auto-translation)

Paris There is an archive, the largest in the world, maintained by an eminent (and controversial) French doctor considered a luminary but also viewed with some suspicion by the transalpine scientific community. In those files, facts and data on the damage caused by electromagnetic waves have been compiled.

He is Dominique Belpomme, 76, professor of oncology at the University Paris-Descartes, who took responsibility for a summary. Result: red code, serious danger, especially if we will be under the mantle of 5G. This is not a joke. Belpomme is famous for having published a very disturbing review on electrosensitivity three years ago and, thanks to him, France has recognized for the first time on a national basis a case of disability due to sensitivity to electromagnetic waves. The effects on the brain, which he considers not to be well understood by the public, can reduce the learning abilities of children and adolescents and even reduce their IQ. And if no action is taken, the consequences could be catastrophic.

80 per cent of children aged 3 to 6 can use tablets and mobile phones.

Risks to Health and Well-Being From Radio-Frequency Radiation Emitted by Cell Phones and Other Wireless Devices

Risks to Health and Well-Being From Radio-Frequency Radiation Emitted by Cell Phones and Other Wireless Devices
Authors: Anthony B. Miller, Margaret E. Sears, L. Lloyd Morgan, Devra L. Davis, Lennart Hardell, Mark Oremus and Colin L. Soskolne - 13 August 2019 - complete text

Policy Recommendations Based on the Evidence to Date

At the time of writing, a total of 32 countries or governmental bodies within these countries4 have issued policies and health recommendations concerning exposure to RFR (78). Three U.S. states have issued advisories to limit exposure to RFR (8183) and the Worcester Massachusetts Public Schools (84) voted to post precautionary guidelines on Wi-Fi radiation on its website. In France, Wi-Fi has been removed from pre-schools and ordered to be shut off in elementary schools when not in use, and children aged 16 years or under are banned from bringing cell phones to school (85). Because the national test agency found 9 out of 10 phones exceeded permissible radiation limits, France is also recalling several million phones.

Exactly What is the Problem with Children Using Cell Phones?

Exactly What is the Problem with Children Using Cell Phones?
Parenting staff, parentingalpha.com, Updated on 6 August 2019

It is echoed repeatedly that parents need to be alert when it comes to the matter of children using cell phones and other tech gadgets. The warning is however ignored most of the time and is challenged by a section of scientists. It is also less publicized by the media, or not well understood by the parents.

In very simple words, these devices should be used sparingly and not in the same manner done by adults. The ultimate goal is to safeguard the well-being of children as they undergo childhood development milestones.

The Miseducation of Britain on 5G: the Guardian Also Gets it Spectacularly Wrong

The Miseducation of Britain on 5G: the Guardian Also Gets it Spectacularly Wrong
by Devra Davis, medium.com, 26 July 2019

Thanks to the Guardian’s latest piece asserting that concerns over 5G rank right up there with conspiracy theories claiming man never set foot on the moon, I now have something in common with British Member of Parliament, Tonia Antoniazzi. My sensible adult daughter recently asked, “What do I tell my friends who ask if you have gone off the rails buying into this Russian conspiracy that says 5G is dreadful?”

The Guardian reported today that Labor Party member, Antoniazzi, had to set aside similar queries from her family when she insisted on raising concerns about the health and environmental concerns over the roll-out of the British variant of 5G.

Here why I am with the esteemed Member of Parliament on this one. We agree with the Right Honorable Antoniazzi, that assurances from the government that all is well are hardly heartening. After all, this is the same government that for decades claimed that prenatal X-rays were of no consequence, protecting the nuclear medicine industry, ignoring the research of medical campaigner, Alice Stewart showing clear dangers to pregnancy.

The Miseducation of America on 5G: The New York Times Gets It Spectacularly Wrong

The Miseducation of America on 5G: The New York Times Gets It Spectacularly Wrong
by Devra Davis, medium.com, 22 July 2019

When William J. Broad, a Pulitzer-Prize winning New York Times science writer, strangely mangles information on the dangers of 5G, this plays right into the hands of those determined to advance this never-tested technology without serious examination of its long-term impact on human health and the environment.

The recent headline of the NYTimes trumpeted 5G as the “health hazard that isn’t.” Not so fast. A close examination of claims in that article indicates that it is time for a reset on the march to the latest wireless technology as the consequences could not be more monumental.

Ten Corrections to William J. Broad’s
“The 5G Health Hazard That Isn’t” New York Times July 16, 2019

Issued by Devra Davis, PhD, MPH, President, Theodora Scarato, MSW, Executive Director, Environmental Health Trust.

1. First of all, contrary to Broad’s claim, Dr. Curry’s report and graph on wireless radiation risks to children in schools in 2000 were not the central foundation for scientific concerns regarding wireless radiation.

From Dieselgate to Phonegate: We Need to Wake Up to Another Pollution Crisis

"If ‘Dieselgate’ received wall-to-wall media coverage in the UK when the story broke, ‘Phonegate’ has received next-to-none."

From Dieselgate to Phonegate: We need to wake up to another pollution crisis

by Annelie Fitzgerald, truepublica.org.uk, 20 July 2018

As the level of emissions from diesel engines in the UK’s cities and its impact on public health has become clear, the media have recently given serious and widespread coverage to the issue of air pollution. Every Breath We Take, the report published in February 2017 by the Royal College of Physicians and Paediatrics, detailed an alarming array of adverse health effects which lead to up to 40,000 shortened lives in the UK each year. Foetuses, babies and children are particularly vulnerable to diesel fumes and particulates, which can impair lung, heart and neurological development.

Outlining his clean air bill in the Guardian in April 2017 Swansea West MP Geraint Davies noted that children in areas where the air quality problem is most serious “have a 10% reduced lung capacity and have more respiratory problems, together with effects on their nervous, immune and cardiovascular systems”. The same month Keith Taylor, Green MEP for South-East England wrote in the Ecologist that he would be campaigning for PM Theresa May to enshrine in UK law a new Clean Air Act to ensure strong, effective protection of public health from air pollution.

The Dangers of Cell Phone Radiation. The Right to Know. Don’t Put in Your Shirt Pocket

The Dangers of Cell Phone Radiation. The Right to Know. Don’t Put in Your Shirt Pocket
Court Upholds Landmark Berkeley Cell Phone Radiation Right to Know Ordinance and Rejects Industries Appeal
By Environmental Health Trust, Global Research, 10 July 2019
Environmental Health Trust 2 July 2019

A landmark Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the City of Berkeley’s cell phone right to know ordinance rejecting industries argument that the ordinance violates the first amendment. The Berkeley ordinance requires retailers to inform consumers that cell phones emit radiation and that “if you carry or use your phone in a pants or shirt pocket or tucked into a bra when the phone is ON and connected to a wireless network, you may exceed the federal guidelines for exposure to RF radiation.” In upholding this decision, the panel concluded that the public health issues at hand were “substantial” and that the “text of the Berkeley notice was literally true,” and “uncontroversial.”

Further, the panel determined that the Berkeley ordinance did not constitute preemption.

“Far from conflicting with federal law and policy, the Berkeley ordinance complemented and enforced it.”
